I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
